Over the past 35 years, Rhythm dancers have had great success in collegiate and professional dance programs across the country. Several of our students have gone on to attend some of the top collegiate dance programs, such as Point Park University and Oklahoma City University, and join some of the best dance teams in the country. Many alumni have transitioned gracefully into pre-professional programs such as the EDGE, L/\unch, and The Ailey School. We have also had countless alumni pursue dance professionally in a variety of different industries. To name a few in particular, Daniel Watts (‘00) is Ike Turner in the Original Broadway Cast of TINA, April Cook (‘98) is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, and Jason Janas (‘99) is touring with Radix Dance Convention as the tap instructor. Many others have gone on to dance professionally for the NFL and NBA, as instructors with the UDA and NDA, aboard cruise ships, in professional companies, and on tour with a variety of Broadway shows. Others have continued their dance careers as teachers, instructors, adjudicators, and judges for a variety of studios and competitions. We also are proud to say we have many doctors, lawyers, engineers, and stay at home moms who enjoy dance, yoga, barre, and fitness classes to this day.
